"Watching businesses and families grow alongside my own growing business and family is what gets me up in the morning and I couldn’t be more grateful for the chance to help people in my own backyard"
As a first-generation Indian American, I watched my parents work for everything we had. Small business owners themselves, my parents worked 7 days a week. Seeing this at a young age taught me the valuable lesson of hard work and that each of us can craft our own life. From a young age, I was put to work and saw the ins and outs of running small businesses in the food, hospitality, and retail industries. I saw how people would rather live by the old saying “I’d rather work 80 hours for myself than 40 for someone else”. It was very motivating to me to see how small business ownership afforded a unique balance of control and flexibility all in one and honestly, I’d be lying if I didn’t also admit that I was motivated by this notion that the money is there, you just have to go out and get it.
As I became a young adult in my early twenties, I attended Georgia Southern University. My education in Finance led to me working for a large corporation in financial advising. While I loved the sense of accomplishment, I got from helping people grow and protect their financial assets – I felt like something was off. My dad must have known this because when he approached me about going into business for myself, it was an easy yes. Over the years, running a retail business brought the assurance that entrepreneurial life was for me, but as my wife and I planned to start our family – I felt a change was needed and through networking with my fellow small business friends, I discovered a new passion that was a great fit – helping people protect their assets with the most personalized and suitable coverage.
Since getting my independent agency going, I have had the chance to connect with some really wonderful people and I have legitimately loved teaching them about how they can stay protected in a way that is best for them and their assets. While I have an added level of expertise with my small business owners who need commercial coverage, I genuinely enjoy the chance to build new relationships with the variety of people and clients that I help day to day. Watching businesses and families grow alongside my own growing business and family is what gets me up in the morning and I couldn’t be more grateful for the chance to help people in my own backyard.
Starting Treehouse Insurance has been a dream for my family and me. It has expanded my own love for the people and small businesses in my community and if this is what you’re all about as well, I’d love the chance to connect, educate, and serve you too!
